About The Artist

Maria Victoria Avila is an intuitive painter, mixed media artist, illustrator, and writer whose work flows from her faith, her family, and her deep connection to God’s creation. Originally from the Dominican Republic, she now creates in the United States, blending color, texture, and story into art that celebrates life’s beauty and complexity.

Her practice as an intuitive painter is rooted in freedom and trust—allowing each brushstroke and layer to emerge in conversation with her spirit. Her work often explores themes of vulnerability, renewal, and everyday blessings. Alongside painting, Maria journals with scripture, prayers, and reflections that shape both her creative process and her personal journey.

Maria shares her life and creative path with her husband, Shane, a teacher, whose support and encouragement inspire her to keep pursuing her calling as an artist. Together, they find joy in family life with her three children and in building a home centered on faith, love, and creativity.

 Maria offers her art and words as reminders of hope, faith, and God’s presence in ordinary moments.
